Societa Sportiva Lazio is a football club based in Rome, Italy. Founded in 1900, the association belongs to Serie A and has spent most of its history in Italy's top leagues. Lazio won two Italian championships in 1974 and 2000, seven times Copa Italy, three times Supercopa Italina, and once the UEFA Cup Winners Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.

The club won its first major championship by winning the domestic cup in 1958. In 1974, they won their first Serie A title. The 1990s was the most successful period in Lazio's history. Lazio's success in the league declined as Chairman Sergio Kragnotti was kicked out of the club in 2002 due to a serious economic crisis and several star players were sold. Despite the small amount of money, the club has won Copa Italy four times in 2004, 2009, 2013, and 2019. Current Chairman Claudio Lortito led the club in 2004.
